Textures are sharper, water effects are more realistic, and the foliage actually looks like it belongs in a next-gen title. The layout hasn’t changed, which is great for us veterans who know every corner, but it feels brand new. I can already picture myself sliding into the pool area, ready to ambush unsuspecting enemies.

Now, let’s talk about the battle pass. The free tiers are surprisingly generous this time. We’re getting the VLK Rogue Shotgun, which is a fast-firing shotgun with a large magazine. I’ve always been a fan of shotguns in close-quarters maps, and this one sounds like a monster. Imagine rushing into a room and taking out three enemies without reloading—that’s my kind of chaos. And then there’s the Flash Strike Grenade. This thing drills through surfaces before releasing a blinding flash. I can already see the rage in the kill feed when I flash someone hiding behind a wall. If you’re like me and you grab the Premium Pass, you’re in for a treat. The operator skins are straight out of a cyberpunk dream: Artery — Overwrite, Hudson — Shadow Agent, Blackjack — Black Hack, and Umar Obi. You earn colour fragments through daily and weekly tasks, which you can trade for Secret Caches, Battle Royale camos, and the Pharo Colour Spray. I’ve always enjoyed the Holi celebrations in the game because they add a burst of colour to the battlefield. It’s a nice contrast to the usual gritty warfare.
